Help finding an at home job any sugestions? im an at home mom in need of a at home job.?

Feb 18

jean_g asked:

I have a 6 month old daughter and I am staying home taking care of her. I want to find a job that i can do from my house so i have a little pocket money coming in. Even though my husband is working i want to be able to have some money that i earned on my own so i can spoil my daughter. As well as help with bills.

Could it be? Could rivalry, hatred, old grudges be killing me?

oooooooo asked:

If I could have avoided this crisis in health with working in my profession, which I could have done, I would be a normal weight now. I would be working part time probably, have a good income. I know, I wrote my book. It said we could never know what could have been. Yes. I said that. They did not like my writing that book here at all regarding my religious beliefs. I forced it on no one. It was not going to be a best seller, that is for sure.

I would also be able to afford to return to my music lessons which I have put off for years, and be writing as I have always done.(poetry, music, and
narratives or articles.) No. I did not earn money from these. It is a possibility. I might have met someone
dated, married. I would have, possibly… a church home, a support group, and lived to a ripe old age.

Could it be that people are jealous of senior citizens, do not want them to
do things like this. I looked, and would look years younger if I could get some weight off. I cannot. I feel too terrible. My skin was not sagging much at all before I gained this weight. I still have the most beautiful dress I ever had,and did not get to wear. my all occasion dress. I am a SENIOR citizen.
We do not need to go die to get rid of us. As I was leaving work one day, an older female who looked like a relative who despises me, told me I could be a prison guard when I was really old. Why would I want to be a prison guard? I would rather be dead. I couldn’t do it. I am talking of literal prison. There is another lady here who looks remarkably like that woman. She has problems similar to the one who said that to me. This is extrme abuse. I don’t care, it is abuse with
reckless disregard for my mental and physical health, stalking, harassing.
with intent to harm. It is also a money laundering attempt, to get money to the one who looks like the one who made the prison remark originally. Yes. That is the M.O. I have cause to sue, they do stuff like that, the one slandered gets the pay off. The slandered one who nearly destroyed my life over and over. I do not think it is coincidence. It is hatred. Viciousness.
I have to experience what she did. Like I have had a charmed life. Every problem in my life came out of psychotic delusions spun about someone’s fantasies about an old country doctor who did not give me a second look.
I was not interested in him either. That is the psychosis forced onto my life all my life. I am not the one needing the antipsychotics.

I know the answer, the answer is yes. People , enemies, do hate people this much. They do these things to people deliberately. Deliberately.Your blood would curdle if I told you the hateful, spiteful, mean things done to me. I am supposed to, as a Christian, forget and forgive.
With much enjoyment and spite, take job, career, money, ruin credit,
get rid of property, railroad, run out of town, . Watch it. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket…so to speak.. have a plan and a back up plan.

I want to forgive. I cannot. This is the last straw. Last straw also is that
if I had money, no one would give me lessons probably, would say that
it “might:” harm me. That would harm me less than anything. They do
not want to admit their hatefulness and spite. Delusions, psychotic delusions which have caused them to commit literal crimes against me.

I am also facing absessed teeth, in the few i have, I have many many cavities.
They think that is funny also. I am not supposed to feel sorry for myself and gripe because I am a Christian. It does not make Christianity look good for me to endure this done to me in silence. No one would want to be a Christian if we had to take this in silence. I have been wronged terribly, and they are laughing up their butts about it. Good old expression learned otj where I came from before here.

Am I eligible for an appeal in reference to an overpayment by the Department of Veterans Affairs?

Feb 18

Candice asked:

I recently received a letter from the VA stating that I was overpayed, and I need to pay the funds immediately.

Some things you should know: I was taking classes full time and I was *forced* to drop two classes because I was involuntarily activated to go on an Annual Training with the Navy Reserves.
*I do know that when I signed up for the Navy Reserves I agreed to do 2 weeks a year of annual training but this specific annual training was not required of me in order for me to fulfill my obligated Annual training as per my contract.
*My professors at my institution are NOT required to work with me and allow me to make up my assignments while I’m gone. They were only obligated by institution rules that my absences were to be excused. This is a common misconception with individuals who think that the university is obligated to allow veterans who deploy to make up all their work when they return. This is specifically up to the professor. And in my case, my professor was not willing to work with me.
*At NO time did I mislead the VA or lie about the adjustment in credit hours. From the second I knew that I was going to drop both classes I contacted VA immediately and informed them (I have documentation to prove this.)
*At no time did these so called ‘extra funds’ benefit me financially in any way. Even though I received extra money for tuition it wasn’t enough money for me to go out and buy a Jaguar. So essentially, the extra money didn’t do me all that good.
*I do not work because of the track I am taking. I do however, work for the military part time when I can. I do honor guard funerals for military veterans that have recently passed away and earn partial drill pay. I have a great academic standing with my institution and bring home outstanding grades.

Right now I do not know how much I owe the VA, but I am going to guess it’s over or around 2,000.00. So my question is: Do I have the ability to file an appeal where I do not have to repay the VA because of my specific circumstances. OR Can I establish a repayment program that is minimal in nature so that it will not put me through extreme financial hardships.

Thank you for your help.

Mindy asked:

July 31, 1847
Dear Diary,
Even though we did not get a lot of food today, I still enjoyed having it. To me getting a bit of food to munch on is better than nothing, especially with all the work that is expected of us. For meals we are usually only given a minuscule amount of corn meal and maybe some pork if we were lucky. We don’t eat inside the master’s house, but instead, in our own shacks. Our master allows us to keep our own gardens that we tend to in our leisure time, which is only on Sundays. We grow just vegetables in there; our master calls it a truck patch. Sometimes he gives us a chance to go fish or hunt for small animals. Whatever we find, we are allowed to keep for ourselves as food. August 1st, marks the beginning of the harvest season, which is the worst time of the year for slaves. Tomorrow is the start of what will be weeks of pure torture. During the harvest season we must work at least 18 hours a day Monday through Saturday. We get up before the sunrise and go to bed at midnight. Also rather than getting Sunday off like we used to, we would have to work 9 hours on that day. Furthermore, the master gets more strict and requires us to pick more cotton, so he could earn more money. As I am eating in my shack, I glance over and see a slave coming from my master’s beautiful house. Her long, dark hair cascaded down her back, unlike mine. She was a wearing a lovely lime-green gown that flowed in the wind as she was led by her master into the wagon. I assumed that she was going with him to run an errand. It is unusual for me to see a house slave outside. They usually stay indoors and are kept away from us field slave. I envy those slaves who work in the house. They get the chance to live in a spacious home and are given old clothes from the master’s family that are absolutely gorgeous. In addition, they get much better food than us such as the leftover from the master’s meal. I’m not exactly sure what their duties are, but I would give anything to become a house slave.

Help with my immature mother?

Feb 18

Cauliflower_Power asked:

Recently my mother has become very hard to deal with. I am 16, so I’ll try explain my situation properly, and if you think I’m just being a hormonal teenager, then just say, I want to know your honest thoughts.

My mother is a solo mother, and has a pretty reasonable job, enough to support our family anyway, and there’s just me, as my older sister is in university (which my mum is not paying for).

So recently things have happened, the most recent I can think of, is today, as our school year has just started, I asked her for money to buy the textbooks. She said no, she didn’t have much (about $100 for the textbooks) and that I’d have to buy them with my own money (Which I earn through my job), and that she’d pay me back later. So I bought my books, and when I came home, I found a new pair of shoes she’d just purchased. That left me very mad, but was nothing compared to what happened later.

So I like to save most of my money to buy things, last time I bought myself a laptop, and at the moment I;m saving to go overseas to China for a month, like I did last year. So she came into my room (okay cue hormonal teenager: While I was having a rare phone conversation with one of my good friends from Norway) and requested $600 for an impulse buy of a laptop she’d previously made (She doesn’t even know how to use a computer). She kept pressuring me, so I put the money in her bank account, and though she promised to pay me back I later erupted at her.

I said things along the lines of, it wasn’t up to me to be there for her to fall back on financially, especially when she could easily be managing her money better. Her latest buy was to a $300 belly dancing course. I said it was ridiculous that I was the one who was able to save and manage money, but she was the one who needed too.

I mean I’m sorry, but I think borrowing $600 from your child is just going over the top, was I wrong to scream at her for not being able to manage her money the way she should?
All my money is money I earn from my job, even though she receives a lot of child support from my dad.

At 73,as a jobless retiree, how 2 earn in “on line work from home jobs, which are genuine.Cannot afford payment.?

PLEASE HELP FREDRICK DOUGLASS QUESTIONS 10 POINTS!?

Feb 18

Girl_you_dont_know asked:

Which statement is true about how the first-person point of view in Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass affects the reader? (Points: 3)
The reader is given only facts without any emotions.

The reader sees the external and internal struggle of an enslaved man.

The reader recognizes both the good and bad points of slavery.

The reader learns that it is easy to escape from slavery.

2. When Douglass’s old master Captain Anthony dies, all the slaves are gathered back together at the Great House Farm to be assessed. At this point, what outcome do the slaves dread most? (Points: 3)
having to stay at the Great House Farm
having to go to Miss Lucretia’s
having to go to Baltimore
having to be separated from each other

3. Douglass says that the holidays on plantations “are part and parcel of the gross fraud, wrong, and inhumanity of slavery” because the owners (Points: 3)
took a holiday while the slaves continued to work.
got many slaves drunk during the holidays in order to dupe them into thinking they could not care for themselves.
took time during the holidays to beat their slaves.
blamed the slaves for stealing the gifts and food during the holidays.

4. Which of the following quotes provides support for Douglass’s main idea that slavery is dehumanizing? (Points: 3)
“I had known what it was to be kindly treated.”
“The home plantation of Colonel Lloyd wore the appearance of a country village.”
“He [master] was a cruel man, hardened by a long life of slaveholding.”
“The week before our intended start, I wrote several protections, one for each of us.”

5. Occasionally, one of Douglass’s masters gives him a few pennies. Douglass probably relates this event in the Narrative to (Points: 3)
emphasize the irony that Douglass earns money and yet is deprived of most of it.
create a metaphor for the relationship among slaves.
demonstrate the resolution of a conflict between Douglass and his master.
persuade readers that Douglass has a chance to earn a lot of money.

6. Covey and Freeland are similar in that (Points: 3)
neither man respects his slaves.
neither man has a negative reputation.
both men make up their minds to “break” Douglass.
both men have authority over Douglass for a time.

7. Douglass changes his name often in an attempt (Points: 3)
find his true father.
keep from being found.
suggest that names do not matter.
honor people he admires.

8. Why does Douglass add the Appendix? (Points: 3)
He is eager to make the case that slaves should reject Christianity.

After the Civil War, William Lloyd Garrison asks Douglass to add an explanation about his escape.

He knows that readers will want to know what he did after he became an abolitionist.

He wants to clarify that he is not an opponent of religion, but merely a critic of the hypocrisy of southern Christianity.

9. Douglass includes a lot of maxims in his Narrative. What is the effect of these? (Points: 3)
They make his autobiography less believable because some of them are not true.

He reveals many of the values of the people during the time in which he lived.

They demonstrate that slaves were highly intelligent.

The reader comes away with some new truths to live by.

10. Slave owners worked to keep their slaves ignorant in all of the following ways except (Points: 3)
denying them the right to eat or sleep.

preventing them from knowing their birthdays.

keeping their parentage a secret.

forbidding the learning of reading or writing.

11. Douglass’s writing becomes emotional when he (Points: 3)
describes Colonel Lloyd’s family.
narrates the first years of his life.
recounts his mother’s death.
explains his relationships with other slaves.

12. “His mangled body sank out of sight, and blood and brains marked the water where he had stood.”

Which phrase best describes Douglass’s description of Demby’s death in the previous passage?
(Points: 3)
dread and horror
sadness and loss
discontent and spite
alarm and fear

13. What does Douglass mean when he says, “In coming to a fixed determination to run away, we did more than Patrick Henry, when he resolved upon liberty or death”? (Points: 3)
Douglass wishes he and his friends could have fought in the Revolutionary War.

His parentage was in the direct line of Patrick Henry.

Though Douglass and his friends were brave, they could still not live up to the bravery of Patrick Henry.

Their chances of liberty were slim, and the chances for death were nearly certain.

14. What conflict does Doug

Do conservatives need crying complaining liberal pest around?

Feb 18

iamct01 asked:

Let us ask Joe the Conservative.
Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee.

The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards.

With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised.

All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer’s medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total
contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a conributor.

Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards.

Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn’t think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune. It is noon time and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads. He arrives at his boyhood home.

His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers’ Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn’t mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day.

Joe agrees: “We don’t need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I’m a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like. I have.”

Help. How can I make enough money to help my family!?

Feb 18

vampyvampire asked:

I’m from a family of 5 kids, myself and my 4 younger siblings. My parents Do not work because my dad is off sick and my mum stays at home to help the kids since they do school at home and I quit college at 18 since I missed over 7 weeks being ill after getting glandular fever. So I missed my deadlines and even some exams. I only have AS levels which are minimal. So I’m trying to look for a job but I don’t even receive jobseekers allowance yet so I can barely travel and I don’t dare ask my parents for money. We barely have enough to live on and I was wondering If i can maybe find a course…or get work straight away so I can give them money. Even a job on minimum wage won’t do. So in what ways could i earn a lot of money? Probably getting a higher education but I had to quit anyway. It might take years but I’m willing to find a solution in the long run.
I’m scrwed. It seems skills like writing and music…basially anything artistic will never give you a good enough living yet it’s what I’m best at. I’m only 18 and it feels like i’m told old or something
can’t even type properly i’m getting frustrated :( I live in the uk by the way. So I cannot qualify for food stamps unfortunately. The recession here doesn’t help and there isn’t enough help for large families. Not to mention the medical system. It’s been years my dad has tried to get proper help for his depression.
