I finally got the chance to watch Transformers 2 Rise of The Fallen last night and it was just worth the long wait. The movie revolved around the lives of both the aliens(robots) and the human beings and how the two can unite and help each other.

The story has a deeper message to it but besides that, you will still experience the magnificence of each robot whenever they change into their real appearance, the comedy that comes naturally from each character, and surprising twists that you won't see in the trailers. Optimus prime definitely gave in a better punch in this movie as opposed to the previous. Bumble bee remains to be the soft character as always.

Overall, the movie is fully packed with action and comedy, something the creators retained. For those who were not able to watch it, you can watch the trailers here.

Asking for a pay raise can sometimes be dreadful for any employee who does not have enough confidence to talk to his employer. But knowing that you have invested enough time and effort in satisfying their expectations, a pay raise may be what you deserve.

Determining how to get a pay raise should not be your main priority for now. What you should be evaluating is yourself, your general evaluation from co-employees and or subordinates. Many commit the mistake of asking for an increase in their salary without taking into consideration what others have to say about it. Too much confidence clouds their mind and they end up getting disappointed by their employers. I'm not saying that confidence is a bad thing. In fact, it should be a character built into everyone because it is the one driving factor that keeps us all well aware of our potentials and skills as workers or entrepreneurs. But too much of everything is never good.

Review your past evaluations and compare each per year and per month. A steady and no change in evaluation indicates that you have not progressed whatsoever in the position that you were given. A fluctuation on the other hand means that you have not yet adopted yourself in the environment where you are in. You are not comfortable with the position given to you, although sometimes, you get a sudden "high", which explains the peaks in your performance. Usually, everyone experiences this on the first few months of work. The best and expected data you should have is a steady growth and progress in your evaluation records.

Getting a pay raise starts with becoming humble. Being a freshman in a new environment, you indulge yourself with everything that is around you. Each work or task is like a stimulus to you that keep you wanting to learn more. The experience is beneficial and rewarding because it will slowly thrust you upward. Being humble during this time is imperative since you are more conditioned to try everything rather than be ambivalent about it. The more that you learn, the higher the chances of you being qualified for a raise in your salary.

With the new work that I just had last month, I was already given an increase in my salary by 30% not because I learned fast or that I demanded for it. I just told my employer to have my contract revised if possible so we could meet in the center. She would give me a raise and for my part, I would gladly sign a contract that will have me work for them for a longer period. Surprisingly, my employer gave me the raise but left the other parts of my contract unchanged. So I'm still free to leave as I wish.

There's nothing wrong in asking for a raise. Just make sure you do it right, when you feel strongly that you deserve it.

It's been always a dream of mine to one day be able to write a novel and have it published for everyone to read. I'm not talking about becoming famous, just hoping to see my name in multiple copies of the things I've written. To see someone appreciating or even ridiculing my book is enough to put a smile on my face.

Writing a novel is not something that I just suddenly thought about. Even when I was just in my teens, I already made attempts to write short stories. They're not really what you'd call an acceptable piece of work, just random nonsense about life. Like this blog, I'm just writing about everything that I want to write about. I do want an audience but having each article published is my main goal right now.

Having the passion of writing a novel started when I had a craving for reading books of different genre. I started with the Nancy Drew series and then mythology, fantasy, fiction, and almost any type of book offered to me. My mind was just so opened to everything! I think the only type of books I got bored with were the academic ones. They never really sparked any interest in me.

Now that I look at how much I was able to write in this blog, I have to say that I'm impressed with what I've accomplished. It's not much compared to big time bloggers but it's a start.

I know I haven't been posting lately in this blog so I was really expecting a zero profit but logging into google adsense, it just shocked me to find out that I'm still getting visitors once in a while and a little trickle in dollars once in a while.( I guess that only proves that blogs do survive even if you leave it alone as long as you know that you've posted original content. I'm not saying my articles are top notch but at least, they are my own words and opinions.

Blogging is definitely a challenging task now especially since I'm back as an employee. The bad thing is that I left this blog and concentrated on adjusting to my current work. Still, I am challenged to once again make this blog active and alive. As long as people keep on visiting, then I should make sure they see something new to read.

Early this morning, I received a message from the admin of the school where I'll be working as a professor. She wanted me to go there and have my orientation, a usual procedure being done whenever a newcomer arrives. Little did I know that the reason why they rushed me to be oriented is so that I can start teaching tomorrow. Yup! Work starts tomorrow and they just shoved modules after modules that I'll be tackling.

So there I was, dumbfounded that I suddenly have to fix my schedules and organize my time so I can do both of my work online and offline. Earnings received online via adsense is still not enough to keep me financially stable so work needs to be done. Progress will come and I'm expectant of it. As for my teaching career, it will surely cover up at least 8 hours each day. That means I have to use my time well with my online endeavors since I may only be left with 3-4 hours with it.

I'm getting anxious about tomorrow, but I think I'll be able to sleep well tonight. The topics I'll be handling are easy enough to teach so I'll just be browsing over the modules. The modules are really the same with what I've been teaching in the past.

Wow! It's been a long time since I updated this blog (a week ago). And so many thought I quit! That I was another newbie who thought he could make money in a flash but got burned and went back to reality. Well, sorry to discourage them, because I'm still here and yes, I will still be blogging. Although I guess I have to explain why I've been out lately.

First of all, the number one problem that all writers experience has caught up to me: "Writer's Block." Yep, the dreaded phenomenon hit me right in the face one day and my mind just went blank. I had a list of topics I wanted to talk about, rambles, maybe even rants, but everytime I put my fingers on the keyboard, nothing happens. So I ended up with drafts instead of published articles. What did I do next? What any wise writer would do, stop and rest. I'm sure there are different advices out there but what works for me is to simply give it up for a while, unwind, and come back, when everything's fresh and new again. This doesn't mean leaving the computer because I still did the usual promoting and blog hopping, something I've become rather fond of. I just took my mind away from the worry of writing an article for this particular blog.

While resting my mind, I got the opportunity to get out of the house and bond with my friends and relatives. A few drinks, coupled with laughter and senseless chatting about anything under the sun, were enough to keep me preoccupied for the moment.

I went back to the school where I was expected to be employed and sure enough, the head there asked me if I was ready to start on the third week of May. I was shocked because I thought I had to do a little lecture demo for them so they can assess my standing as a teacher/professor. I was even told that many applied for a position there so I was expecting competition. But lucky enough, I got the job. That job is another reason why I can't seem to focus on writing a good article. I'm just too excited to start! I'm thrilled to finally be able to teach again but at the same time, anxious about how I'll be able to relate to my students. It's going to be a new experience and definitely a challenge.

As for this blog, it will continue to be updated for as long as there is something that I have to say. To be an employee again will surely give my mind a boost of ideas on things to talk about. I'm looking forward to that, and I hope you do too.
